Long COVID symptoms like brain fog or smell changes?
You may qualify for a UNT research study.

Help UNT researchers understand how COVID affects thinking and memory (even in people without Long COVID symptoms).

Do You Qualify?

The University of North Texas is enrolling adults with a confirmed COVID diagnosis who are experiencing ongoing issues with smell (olfaction), thinking, or memory. Participation includes two sessions, a fasting blood draw, and computer-based testing. Participants receive a $100 gift card.

  • You currently HAVE:
    – Brain Fog / Trouble Thinking Clearly
    – Memory Issues
    – Difficulty Concentrating
    – Changes in sense of smell

Why We’re Doing This Study

Researchers at the University of North Texas are studying how COVID exposure/infection may relate to thinking and memory. Many people with Long COVID (also called PASC) report symptoms like “brain fog” and memory changes — and we also need participants who recovered without ongoing symptoms so we can compare results accurately.

What Participation Looks Like (2 Days)

This study is designed to be straightforward and low-lift:

Day 1

  1. Fasting blood draw (morning) at a professional lab in Allen, TX
This helps measure inflammatory immune chemicals associated with COVID infection
  2. Computer-based testing (remote)
You’ll complete computerized testing of mental processing

Day 2

  1. Computer-based testing (in-person) at the clinic location in Allen:
Long Covid Clinics of North Texas
    981 State Hwy 121 #4150, Allen, TX 75013

Total time

  • About 4–5 hours total across the two days

Compensation

  • $100 gift card after participation
